The Carecube

Designed to allow rapid access to patients in isolation while protecting front-line workers.

“Carecubes offer the greatest potential for high-impact, sustainable implementation with minimal training. The modest footprint and modular nature of the design supports all transmission-based precautions in a setting where dedicated rooms, particularly airborne infection isolation rooms may not be available.”
— Dr. James Lawler Director, Clinical and Biodefense Research, National Strategic Research Institute / Director, International Programs and Innovation / Global Center for Health Security Associate Professor, Department of Internal Medicine

Features

Two “lean-in glove walls” allow for rapid patient access. The Hugsuit, a full isolation suit built into the side of the Carecube, to provide deeper connection, care and touch.

Two intake filters ensure clean air enters the Carecube, while a HEPA filter cleans air on the way out, allowing for same-room recirculation.

Negative pressure and 15 air exchanges per hour that exceeds the CDC’s standard for AIIRs.

Conduit panels for IV tubing, electrical wires, and ventilator tubing interface all stay outside the Carecube for safe and easy access and adjustment.

Pass-through panels so procedure kits, meals, books, handheld devices can easily and safely move from outside to inside and vice-versa.

Designed and manufactured in the USA.
